China launches research vessel to explore the South China Sea
The ship, named Shiyan-6, is "the first modern research vessel in the country, specializing in geophysical research and seismic data collection and processing," the report said. The launching ceremony took place in Guangzhou and the vessel is expected to enter service in 2021.
